365 Days in Europe

In 1970 friend and I began a yearlong adventure in Europe. We left Vancouver on June 30, 1970 and returned June 30 1971. We considered it a working holiday and planned to overwinter in England, travel during the good months. Our goals changed throughout, but our intention was to follow the coastline where possible, visit historic cites in the interior of each country. Our budget without money earned traveling was together about $5000 Canadian. Our Bible and friend was Europe on Five Dollars a Day.
